Laura Coulthard's AD/HD images project
Laura is another one of life's characters who, like Scott, act as lightening conductors, energising people they meet, instantly awaking them from their mental slumbers! Laura is currently putting together an interesting project based around vivid images of AD/HD. As she put it:
" ... I am Laura and I've been going to the ADHD support groups for a few months now and I've been thinking a lot about how to offer various types of support. I am really interested to hear if anyone has any strong vivid images that personally represent ADHD for them. If you would like to share these I would really love to hear them". Scotty's Misunderstood film
Scott's Latty's film is about what it is like to have ADHD on a daily basis (based on his own adventures, struggling through the maze of life), is progressing well. There will be a new update on here soon; in the meantime, here is a recent newspaper article about Misunderstood
An interview Scott Latty made with ADHD coach Jennie Friedman about his film project Misunderstood.
Many of you will be familiar with Scott Latty, it feels like he's been around for centuries but he's far too young for that to be the case! He has learned the hard way, like so many of us have, just how bloody hard it can be for a person with AD/HD to cope, on daily basis, with this mainly neuro-typical society. We've mentioned his Misunderstood project several times but there have been new developments that Scott can now share with everybody. He was interviewed by AD/HD coach Jennie Friedman this week.
As Jennie Friedman notes on her website http://www.seeinadhd.com
"Scott recounts the feeling of never being understood. He explains, that even in how he expresses himself at times can be frustrating; hence, the title of his film, Misunderstood. Although he knows that on occasion he comes off as argumentative, on the inside he’s thinking, “Listen to what I’m saying,” because he wants to be heard".
